As a former Cincinnatian.... I don't know of any in SW Ohio; there is a stone wall in Cincinnati which you can boulder on, and it will at least give you a pump. See Regional forum for Ohio; Eden park Reservoir in Cincinnati. I'd suggest PM'ing one of the folks active in the regional forum for beta, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for finding much. Might be some in eastern Indiana..... but my advice would be pack up and head to Red River Gorge, or the New RG every chance you get.

Ohio has a lot more rock than most people know. I don't know western Ohio, but if you find a river that cuts steep cliffs, and then walk that river, you will find rock. This has never let me down. I know so many secret spots near my home. With enough effort you will too.

Hi, Sidney is near Bellfountain right? And if that's near Bellfountain then you are near Dayton, home of Urban Crag climbing Gym. If Im thinking of the same place I think there is a quarry around there that I have been to, not working anymore so it is safe to go and play. Also, Bowling Green has a really nice set of boulders out in a field, call BGSU climbing wall and get directions from someone who knows the area today. It's been 5 years since I lived in Western Ohio so I would hate to give bad directions. It's out there-trust me, I live on Lake Erie, Im a flatlander but I have found rock!!!

The Crag in Dayton is a fun place to play inside and probably only 35-40min from U- Another fairly close place with small cliffs is John bryant state park . take 75 south to 70 east then 68south and turn left just before the little town of yellow springs- follow the signs. probably a good hour ride for you.

Well if you do indoor at all, there is the Urban Krag in Dayton and Rock Quest in Cincinnati. Outdoor wise, you could go down to John Bryan or if you go down to springfield there is a bit there.

There's not much in southern ohio. a few gyms near cincinnati and the Eden Park reservior wall. as for natural rock there's either the Red River Gorge in KY or The New River Gorge in VA. As for the hidden stuff. if anyone knows let me know too

Obviously there is always the Red. Only a short 1.5 to 2 hours away.
