Looking for advice as to what makes a good set of gear for setting up topropes in J Tree, for instance around the Thin Wall area in Real Hidden Valley? I have a set of nuts, a set of hexes, and a couple of smallish cams and am wondering if I need to pick up a couple of more pieces.

Can't wait to get out there this weekend! :D

you should have enough gear, if you're inventive enough. but don't forget the long slings. a small investment in one 30 foot and a 20 foot piece of webbing should have you all set. there are some natural features to sling on thin wall in lieu of gear, too.

have fun

I see that you said you have hexes but I would suggest you, if you don't have them already, to get the larger sizes. They have definitely come in handy throughout the park.
