I may be able to get out to Carderrock tomorrow (Sunday Feb. 9th), and was wondering if anyone had any idea about what conditions will be like in terms of ice/snow/water- for both the rock itself, trails, base, and top of cliff. I'm taking a less experianced partner there for some toproping and to do anchors ground school at the base/ on bouldres. Its about an hour+ away, so will the drive be worth it if "climbability" is limited? Also, Ilchester/ Patapsco Valley slab might be easier to get to. Anyone know about them(i terms of conditions)?

The ground is wet, bring a tarp but the rocks are dry and the river level is low enough that almost all the climbs are accessible. Was a gorgeous day today.
