How much do you think these will stretch?

They will stretch lots. I buy mine tight, so that my 4 smaller toes are just starting to knuckle. For me, this is 1.5 sizes smaller than street size. I wear 10.5 mocs, and 11 Newtons.

Hope this helps

They stretch more than any other shoe I have had.

(One pair each - 5.10 diamonds, 5.10 huecos, la sportiva katanas. 4 pairs mocs and counting)

When I get them, they are so tight that I have to perch on my heels and look like an idiot, or more of an idiot. After awhile they are tight, but fit perfectly, with little dents for each toe. Very attractive. Still, not comfortable enough for long multipitch trad without taking them off.

There is no liner and the leather has no stitching or other structural components. It is hard to imagine a shoe that would stretch more.

If you buy them too big and they start to stretch, there is nothing you can do, as there are no laces to take up the slack, so buy carefully. Regarding sizing, My street shoe is an 8.5 or 9, my mocassyms are a 6 or 6.5 depending.

I bought mine one size smaller than my street shoes and they are divinely comfortable; i climb mostly 5.10 trad and i don't see the need for painful shoes. This is my 4th pair of mocs and once owned the 5.10 friction loafer, the precurser to this shoe from the early 90's.

I love 'em & they will stretch (I need a wide toe box); like cragmasterp, I downsized only 1 full size from street shoes. They are comfortable enough for moderately long routes (Love route on Hallet) in RMNP.

Depends on the size of your feet. Mocs stretch, no matter what size, but a siz 11 Moc will stretch a helluva lot more than a size 6. If you have skis for feet, buy the smallest size you can possibly fit into. If you have little feet, back off a bit on the pain factor.

Good choice, BTW. Great shoes for all but slabby edging.

(I can't believe I responded seriously to a shoe thread.)

I've worn my mocs for an entire season and they've barely stretched at all. They're still as painful as they day I bought them. I still love them, but they're too painful to wear on long trad routes.

Mine stretched a lot. They actually only lasted about 6 months. The rands came off and last week I somehow ripped a big hole in the sole.
They were great while they lasted though. The best for thin cracks.

that was my first pair of shoes and they stretched quite a bit. when i bought them they hurt bad, like any pair of new climbing shoes, but by the time i retired them i could walk around for hours in them like a regular street shoe (almost)
