dude, if you are going to drive all the way from NY to Ontario to climb, Mt. Nemo is a pile compared to so many other areas! (it's probably the best of the worst) next time you come to Ontario you should keep going North, the reason there was only 10 people on a long weekend is because everybody was climbing at all the other crags that are way better! These are the best Area's in Ontario: Lion's Head 5.8-5.14a (avg. 5.10,11,12's, most beautiful, highest, most # of routes, and best quality rock in Ontario) White's Bluff 5.11-5.13b (avg. 5.11, short and kinda chossy, but fun and easy access. 5 min from Lion's head) Metcalf 5.11-5.13d Old Baldy 5.6-5.13d (Avg. 5.9-11's) these are the worst Areas (Basically everywhere in Milton Ontario): -RattleSnake point 5.2-5.10+ (avg. 5.6-8's, the most popular beginner crag, and the lamest! line ups for every route, it's like climbing at the beach!) -Kelso 5.10-5.11+ (6 sport climbs 5.11ish, the rest top rope) -Mount Nemo 5.8-5.12 (many bolted routes, shitty base, short routes, chossy rock) -Buffalo Crag 5.6-5.11

Nemo is a lot better tahn you make it out to be Manboy, good variation in grades, types of climbing and styles (plus it's 15 min. from my house and 10 from my work [grin]). All the areas you listed are great sites, but on long weekend like this past one was, Nemo was dea until Monday. If I hadn't been so hungover I may have seen you Climb512 [grin]. What routes did you do? PS, Manboy not all of us are 5.13-14 climbers like you, I wish I was but no dice, so places Like Nemo have definate benefits.

Nemo's convenient. Close to home, and easy access. I was there on Sunday for an easy day of climbing, but I hurt my shoulder on an 11a trying to make a clip from a stupid spot,so I just looked for things to play on. For the rest of the day. What I don't understand about it is that there's a 9 and a 10c that are both harder to lead than the climb I hurt my shoulder on.
