This little area is the somtimes topic for contraversy because of a little climb called pockets.Any way some idiot thought it would be cool to make this huge overhanging boulder go by making man made huecos!Dose anyone know why or when this crime against nature and my personal ethics ,was commited.
Its only reflected the attention span of some of todays climbers.

not sure if youll ever read this but ill reply anyway. the boulder is actually called pocket rock and was drilled (im guessing) over 10 years ago and it actually alot of fun. i dont agree with the drilling either but the local birds dont mind the lodging.

I believe there is a route in CO ( garden ) that is called otto's route that was also man made. Though I have heard this climb is fantastic, I agree that this is a true crime against nature. :(

I don't know that areas, but I know some man-,made routes of other crags. I think most all people nowadays don't thrill, but just stick one piece if it's known it's going to break soon. I agree with that.
I don't like thrilled holes, but in some areas, years ago, that kind of routes allowed the climbing community to improve their level. So they have been quite important, and, to tell the truth, some of them are really nice to climb.
Have fun, and don't thrill any more
