I am wnating to go bouldering up LCC tomorrow afternoon. Could I please get a bit 'o' beta as to location of a good spot? Or do I just stop at the first big rock I see and start climbing?

climbxmedia.com has the most complete online guide to LCC. Most of the stuff on the north side of the canyon is good, some snow at the base at 5 mile boulders, but very doable...The secret garden, cabbage patch, 5-mile and the gate are your best bets..have fun

Cabbage patch has a miniscule approach, flat landings and good problems. (And is dry right now.) http://www.climbxmedia.com/guides/littlecottonwood.pdf The cXm guide is great, this one isn't as complete, but may help: http://www.thedeadpoint.com/guides/little.html

some of the best areas are super hard to find. best thing to do is find someone who knows them. i know my favorite area is just above the toolbooth, on the left side of the road there's a tiny little trail, if you hike up it there's three boulders. like i said, hard to find. but it's worth it Jenna [ This Message was edited by: sugarbaby on 2002-04-06 14:44 ]

I know ratstar, how pathetic am I? Most all my climbing has been TR in Big Cottonwood, or scrabbling in City of Rocks.

I guess climbing is climbing man. Keep it going and learn some routes so we can show everyone how the locals do it.
