Looking to head up Adams this summer. Can anyone tell me more about the routes? Looking for something akin to avalanche gulch on Shasta; preferably little to no crevasse risk. Any insights? Climbing season? Books I should look at?

Thanks!

Goddam,
I was there about 2 years ago but have done so much since that I don;t remeber very much of it. Adams, if I remember correctly, had some exposed rotten rock on top & way less people in comparison to Shasta

The only thing I remember is to wait until the road is cleared up to the Parking lot. May take until June or July. I had to hike an extra 5 miles each way which made a car-to-car summit really damn hard. There is plenty of info online and in guidebooks. The standard route is a walk-up. The ski couloir on the SE side is a great run. I say camp and enjoy the skiing.
