I am new to the area and want to see what you guys and dolls do for a good time. I am in the Biloxi area and really want to get on some rock or in a gym. My sport lead gear isn't here yet but if I find something I will get it sent out. I would be very appreciative to anyone that can help me with my search. Thank you, Chris

THere is a climbign gym (Climb Max) in New Orleans. Might be another in Mobile if one hasn't pooped up on the coast. Your closest rock will probably be places like Sandrock and HP 40 in Alabama. Drive a little further and get to Chattanooga and it has some great crags (Tennessee Wall, Foster Falls, etc) the guide book that covers all? of those areas is the Dixie Craggers Atlas. Good luck, Bryan

the answers above pretty much sum it up. You'll have to jump in your car and drive about 4-5 hours before you find any significant rock. Birmingham is the first place you are going to find anything worthwhile. After B'ham, there are alot of places to go like: sandrock horsepens 40 Palisades park foster falls boulderfields I go about once or twice a month.
