yeah...its always nice to have the whole place to yourself..anyway.. has anyone been over the other side of the river...i always wanted to check it out but im not quite sure how to get over there (the guidebook isn't much help) Ive heard it was a pretty significant hike. Is it worth it..or should i just fight the crowd at lilly and the clear?

Is it worth it..or should i just fight the crowd at lilly and the clear? It is a long hike, espeically if you don't know where you are going... Simon and I went a few weeks ago... We took the Point trail, and didnt know where you go to get to the descent trail so we went to the end of the point trail and took that descent trail (probably hasnt been hiked on in years) we went by ourselves, and I saw a big snake so I started running and then we got off the trail... on our left was the river and on our right was the mountain (not the cliffs, just the really steep hill)... by this time is the sun was starting to set... so we hiked up he steep trail and got back on the reg. trail and didnt even get to see the actually Obed... however at the top of the point trail you can see South Clear and there is an awesome view... we saw like 6 people climbing at the same time (so it was pretty crowded). Anyways, if you do go to Obed... we know how to get there now... take the point trail until you get to the section that is more like a fourwheeler trail and it splits off... if you turn left, make sure you you dont take the decent trail at the end... before you get to the end there will be a big rock on your right... go behind it and take that descent trail... hope this helps! I'm getting ready to go to Lilly now, so I might see ya there.... peace
