Hey, is the Red climable in November? How about December? Is it too cold? I've never been to Kentucky, just thinking about a trip next fall/winter and I was curious. Any info appreciated. Thanks! Tavis

hey tavis... it most certainly is... sometimes a bit hit or miss. you can get some amazing days in november especially. even if it is a bit chilly, you can chase sunshine on south facing cliffs. the guidebook is pretty good about a particular cliff's orientation (i.e. north, south, etc.) let me know if you need anything else. r.r.

You can have some really freaky weather like 65+ on New Years Day this year. But then the rock sweats like a beer bottle in the middle of summer. November can be bearable if you find or follow the sun. Partners may be difficult to find if you come solo and don't have plans to hook up with someone.

as a former native i can strongly say yes. for one you can climb any were and be lucky to see another climber and i think the sand stone being colder makes the rubber on your shoes stickier. red river rocks!
