I spose since the only thing I've posted is questions, I look completely clueless... which is probably partly true. But hey, I love climbing, and I wanna learn... so here goes. Again. Whats the difference between an open and closed crimp? I know it should probably be obvious, but I don't know. Also, how the heck do you improve on slopers? I HATE them! thanks! Becky

closed cripm: thumb over index and possibly middle finger for extra strength on small positive holds. open grip: you grip with fingers extended. mostly used on slopers and pockets semiclosed: kinda like closed, whithout the thumb. how to get better with slopers: climb on them. i actually really love them. also, my advice, get a good book about climbing and read it. i reccomen "performance rock climbing".
