yes, I know I'm inquisitive, I hope it doesn't offend anyone. I just figured, since I don't know I would ask. I love to climb, and I want to get better, so why not ask ppl who know better than me. Sry if its annoying. becky

If you want more info, I think there's a slacklining forum floating around here somewhere. If you go through it carefully enough, there are probably a few pictures that would help clarify that for you. I would post a link but I'm computer illiterate and don't know how. Sorry.

Becky- you are very polite. Most people you encounter on here are...well....abrasive. Not all, but some. I think everyone should take notes from becky. Slacklining is an activity that is looked upon as great fun in hippie camps and other climbing communities across the world. It's not how well you slackline... it's how you look while doing it that matters :o

Like Adam said "fun, addicting, and works balance and control"... helps develop the "cat reflex" (landing on your feet), helps teach you to center your weight over your feet, and helps you learn to fight off the panic associated with falling. The amount it helps your climbing is kinda amazing... http://img35.photobucket.com/...limbing/fc90ba00.jpg The rigging can be fairly complicated, at least to rig one safely and not to damage what you rig it to... I have had my line up in my yard for almost two years now without ever taking it down... even though I am a semi retired climber, I still slackline almost everyday.
