I finally got to see the "rockfall" to the right of Gunsmoke this weekend. As I was quite unaware and how unbelieveably large this "piece" was, I took a few pics, for anyone who hasn't seen it already. Very impressive, but thank goodness no one was there at the time. Ranger mentioned this happend in February of last year. Click on the pic for the narrative...

A friend of mine told me that someone had just finished a bolted face route up the block that fell a couple of days before it cut loose. Scarey for them...

Yep. They bolted it, then there were 3 days of rain, then it slid out.
