Has anyone been up to Poway Crags in the past couple of weeks? How much of the scorched rock has crumbled off? I am particularly interested in the area around Godzilla. Is anything climbable?

So the answer is... ...Poway Crag's is now really, really, chossy. The surface of the rock is now extremely brittle -- any belayer would definitely need a helmet! Basically, don't bother going for the next few years. Eventually it will all be climabable again but all of the routes would have changed. What is needed is a couple of harsh/wet winters with some good freeze-thaw cycles!
