I recently moved to Shreveport, LA from NC and wow, there sure aren't any places to climb around here... I'm hoping to find some climbing buddies to do some travelling with on the weekends to get in some outdoor climbing, I just haven't found much of a community here in the swamplands. Send me a private message or email me if you're interested in getting a group together in the area.

woe unto you. i grew up in Louisiana. the nearest places to you worthwhile for climbing would be the Austin, TX area, the crags in the Chatanooga region, and anything in Arkansas. there is probably some buildering in Shreveport, too. pm me if you want to talk more. good luck.

I'd definitely be up for that some time soon. We should get some plans together.

Does sound like a wicked idea. My personal e-mail is extirpate@gmail.com. There's pretty much just bouldering up that way right?

Man, I'm sorry! I lived in Ruston, LA for 5 years, and guess how many times I got to go climbing (big fat zero). I finally moved back home to Little Rock, and Arkansas is surprisingly great little cragging state. Feel free to write anytime you're up this way. About the only thing we don't have in abundance here is multi-pitch, but I'm not complaining. The sandstone here is pretty sweet!

I am from Shreveport and lived in Louisiana until about a year ago. I didn't even know climbing existed until I left! Now there is great climbing in TN! Good luck finding climbing around S'port. I have a friend with a wall in his back yard, i can give him a call for you. I'm driving from Knoxville to Shreveport over the Holidays. I would love to meet someone for climbing in Arkansas! Or even around Austin,TX. (it'll be a month long road trip!) If it isn't too frozen of course.
