I agree. But don't tell any of my climbing friends. Ha, it's like some kind of secret, shameful thing. Bouldering really pushes me. It is something that I can really gauge myself with. I can make myself boulder when no one else wants to climb with me. I can try the same problem 20 times per day if I want. I can climb alone or with a huge group and still get lots of climbing time in. Many of my friends think of it as something to do when you want a diversion from climbing routes. I think of routes as something to do to keep up my endurance. Bouldering is climbing distilled to its basic elements. It is moving over a stone. peace, tim

Well said Tim. I have to agree with you. But routes, expecially trad have got the advantage of the better view.

Bouldering is far more social. I think that is cool. People hanging out together and climbing is fun. Yeah, trad is social, but not like a frenzied boulding session.

Hey, I just subscribed to a new magazine written especially for those of us who boulder. Just remember, they've only put out a couple issues so far. It's full of information and I really enjoy the humor. The March/April issue features Hueco Tanks. Check it out -> www.vboulderingmagazine.com
