Are you just bouldering?

The most concentrated bouldering is at Big Bend Bouldering area on River Road. There are great problems at every grade there. There is plenty of other bouldering near Moab as well, but it tends to be spread out and not well documented.

Definitely check out Big Bend. You should be entertained for awhile. There is some really good water from a spring on the right at the entrance to River Road, too. (I think its safe:)

The local outdoor shops are helpful with finding good spots, too. I was only there for a week last summer, though. We had some fun climbing up by Mt. Peale.

Good luck.

The water at that spring is safe - I fill up there every time. Good free camping at Onion Creek too, which is about 10 miles north of Big Bend.

there is very little sport climbing near moab - yay!

for trad cragging, check out indian creek, long canyon, and maybe wall street if you just have an afternoon to kill. for towers, castle valley is good - castleton tower is awesome via any route, the priest is great, the rectory has some classic lines. in the fisher towers, ancient art is a must do classic that can be done as 10+ or 5.8 A0ish. Everything else there is cool too, but requires aid climbing.

if you are from salt lake, you should also check out eh northern san rafael swell. awesome looking routes, both trad cragging and tower routes. check out the bjornstad desert rock II guidebook.
