Hey All, Now that I know it's cool to climb at Emmaus, I was wondering if some Pa climbers wanted to meet up for a day and give Emmaus a little touch up. I was up there not too long ago and was able to see some things (not major) that could be cleaned up a bit more and make it easier for those climbers who are not familiar with Emmaus to find it. Trail Markings, Make better Trails, Clean up routes and so on. This is just an idea but if people are intrested in this, we can make it happen. If you are, please post up here or PM me and we can work from there. Thanks Everyone,

I'm not certain of ownership of emmaus, but PLEASE discuss with them before doing any trail maintenance or anything beyond picking up trash. Also, you should contact the Access Fund, Lonny Whitcomp is the regional coordinator. They will frequently give you all the supplies you'll need to do the cleanup, and maybe some other goodies... Keep me informed, as I will attend if my schedule permits, and I can probably bring some other PAC folks, and advertise it on our site. Keep in touch; we can work together. Josh Karns PAC Pres

Chris, What's up. I am actually the AF coordinator for that part of PA. Emmaus was one of my local crags for some time. I orginized a clean up two years ago with Keith Uhl there along with trail maintainance. I did the clean up with some park officials and local climbers (unfortunatly only a few showed up). The park was soo thrilled that we did so much work they decided to officially allow climbing (which was my hidden intention from planning the clean up) Any way I know the head of the park and have his phone # someplace if you want I can contact him or pass the info on to you to contact him if you like. He would be thrilled as long as he knows what's going on and approves any trail maintainance like Josh mentioned. Let me know and I'm glad you want to get involved there, it gets soo trashed soo quick there. ~Rob H

I have alot of planning still to do. I have talked to Josh awhile back and Rob Holzman as well. They know what is up. I'll bump this page up when I know more of what is going to happen and when. Thanks for your interest! Chris

Chris-- The PAC will be happy to support you with supplies for the event, etc. and advertise it. My schedule is jam-packed right now, but I will be there if I can. Josh
