gansscr,

You ever head to Emmaus or Bauer Rock? I know you mentioned you were at Devil's Pulpit, not too far away. We should crank on some rock together.

What time were you looking to go? I'm pretty sure I'm heading home for the weekend but I can come back early to climb. I can show you both Bauer and Emmaus if you would like. They are only minutes apart, believe it or not. Do you have a pad? Don't worry about being a noob, we all were one time or another. (bouldering speaking, not roping up here, im still a noob for ropes)

I'm going out to Emmaus today for abit before the rain comes about. I'll be working at the Fire Pit Rock. That is the last big section of boulders in back of the Main Section.

Emmaus was good. I didn't have the greatest time climbing because of working out yesterday, still sore but I'll be ready to go by Sunday.

Since neither of us have a actual pad (I use a camping pad, protection but not enough) lets head up Emmaus. Bauer has stuff but w.o a pad, the landing would hurt like crazy. If you can't I understand, it's just not worth the possible trouble we could run into w.o having one, know what I mean? Emmaus has tons of stuff that will keep us occupied so don't worry.

Just keep an eye on the weather...

Chris

ps-you have climbing shoes and all that right?

lol, until my check clears from the IRS i have no shoes, no shirt, no service....actually i don't mind bearfoot for now, and am also using sport sandals, they're actually not bad, but they're no climbing shoe. i'm looking at a package online actually to buy, i forget the site offhand but im def thinking of a package. Any suggestions? 150-200 max for shoes, harness, chalkbag, and locking carabiner....can it be done?

about emmaus, i was actually planning on walking to bauer (we locals call it big rock by the by) cause i live that close. I'll see if i can get the car for the day, or i'll just pull something out of my butt like i always do.

also, feel free to IM me if you want, this internet tag stuff is sure interesting.

Funny you ask that because I am giving him the shoes.

I also checked out the weather for this weekend and it looks like rain tomorrow and saturday so keep that in mind.

Maybe we can get out during the week sometime,

Hey PA folks,

Im on the other side of the Delaware Water Gap in NJ and was wondering if anyone is familiar with the climbing near the gap. I heard there was some multi pitch trad, are these routes good stuff??? Are there better climbing areas further into PA???

Thanks for the info!

PS - Always looking for someone who wants to give me the first hand info up on the rock

I've never been, wormly, but I've heard it's decent. I do know that the PA side of the Gap is closed this season, as the falcons are nesting or whatever. But I think the NJ side is still good.

Oh, and EMS usually has a guidebook to the area, runs around 15 bucks.

K.

Hey PA climbers!

I'm coming to visit my home state of PA for Memorial Day Weekend, and am looking for some folks to climb with. If anyone is interested, drop me a line--I have lots of gear and am ready to go!
