Hi, I am planning a trip to climb Lobuche East right to the true summit in October/November later this year. Has anyone climbed this before and if so do you have any info on routes and gear etc. We were hoping to climb via the South Ridge. The final push to the summit is meant to get a little technical and so I was wondering what kind of rack people would suggest. Also any info on porters and the availability of food on route etc. Many thanks, Toby.

I just climbed Ama Dablma with a guy from Australia that was going on to guide a climb up Lobuche East. Check out Climbtrek.com. Hurry though, he's heading to Pakistan soon.
