i'm going to be in Scotland the last 2 weeks of July and am looking for beta on climbing in Scotland--particularly in the highlands. I'm also looking for a partner for when i'm there.

anyone out there?

ay up. depends where you are going, but the etive slabs (glen etive) are well worth a look. four + pitches of great granite slabs. there is some good climbing on buchille etive mor. glen coe has its fair share of climbing as well. then there is the stuff of the ben. so thats one corner of the highlands. fort william is the nearest thing to a big town.
if you are going to the other side then there is supposed to be some good climbing in the corries of the cairngorm. ive only climbed there in the snow and ice, so not sure about it in summer.
down around glasgow there are the dumbarton rocks for the crazy brave and the phoney tough. auchenstarry quarry (i think thats how its spelt). hopefully that should give you something to go at.

there's tons of stuff to do. what sort of climbing are you looking for, multipitch, single pitch, sport, trad? and what sort of grades.

nice stereotype. we have been out every weekend since the start of april and not got anywhere near wet once.

unpredictable would be more like it but just as much chance of dry weather as rain.
