I'm looking for a mountaineering partner to climb Shasta, Rainer, Glacier, Baker, Adams and others in Canada and Alaska. I climbed a lot in California and Washington and some in Alaska. My climbing parnter moved away so I'm looking for a new partner(s). I have all the equipment.
I'm hoping to go back to Shasta in a couple of weeks and climb again.

Might check out this thread, where faust, cgailey, and micahmcguire express some interest in Alaskan stuff. I'm interested too, but I've never done any mountaineering yet, and I don't have much gear for it. I do have a lot of time though. ;)

and

Both great gyms. ARG is bigger, but also therefore more popular with non-climbers. Cassel rock is where a lot of the strong locals go, so the atmosphere there is often more friendly and climber-ish. Cassel is more bouldering though, since the ceiling is low, and ARG has a lot of everything, including weight machines.

Hey, if you still need a partner for Shasta in early June, let me know. I've only done one real snowy peak (Mt. Hood) and that was a few years back, so I'm a newbie in the alpine world. But I was planning to tackle Shasta this spring, and even got most of the necessary gear for it. Would be great to climb with an experienced alpine climber, so drop me a line if you're still looking!

I'm going to be in NorCal in 2 weeks and I was hoping to head up Shasta, though it sounds like it might be getting a bit late in the year to do it.

I've done some glacier travel & snow pitching and summited a couple of peaks in New Zealand. If you're still looking for partners and June 26-28 works for you, let me know. Or if you've got something else in mind....
