The approach to the South Arête was pretty straight foreword. We approached from the trailhead parking lot not the hairpin turn. The approach trail is still covered by snow so we had to do a little bush whacking. The snow on the approach was hard boiler plate it the morning. But it softened up just enough in the afternoon for a nice glissade back to the tree line. The hardest move of the route is right off the ground (5.4) step around. Most of the Belays are easily protected with webbing. I would suggest a small rack of nuts and cams up to 3 inches.
