In case Anybody in a different time zone has the oppertunity: Discovery Channel just showcased Slacklining in thier show, "More than Human." A relativly interesting segment, it was on a 7 here on the east coast, 6-2-04. Check it out, they made slackliners seem super cool. While I am no slackliner, props to those out there who can be officially (according to Discovery Channel) called SUPER HUMAN!!! Yay slackliners!

wow, that's kinda weird to partake in a sport dubbed by TV to be a superhuman activity. Interesting.

Holy Hyperbole Batman! While slackliners are impressive, I think "superhuman" is a particulary extreme case of media sensationalism.

If target shooting with a pistol can be in the summer olympics, then slacklining can be called a sport. Or curling in the winter olympics for that matter.
