In reply to: A new speed record was set this season by Pemba Dorjee Sherpa, age 27. He completed the distance from Sagarmatha Base Camp to the summit in 8 hours and 10 minutes by starting at 6 P.M. on 20th May 2004 and reaching the summit at 02.10 A.M. on 21st May 2004. Pemba Dorjee also climbed Everest twice during this season. now this is what we call endurance + speed huh?
