I've looked through all of the listed "gyms" in the Alberta section, and it seems as though the only real climbing gyms (where one can find a variety of routes of at least moderate difficulty, with some lead routes and bouldering as well) seem to be the Calgary Climbing Centre and The Stronghold. I can't seem to find much information on the Canmore Climbing Centre, but I imagine it's related to the Calgary CC. Are there any that I'm missing? I'll be visiting towards the end of July and early August, and will be moving there permanently sometime in the fall. Looking forward to getting out of the stressball that is Toronto ... - Seyil

1. I don't plan on living in Canmore, but it is on the short list. 2. I love climbing outside, but gym climbing is still important to me since I hold a 9-5 job and I'm not going to drive out to the crags after work. 3. I'm coming in July / August to do some backpacking and climbing (outside), but I'm also using the trip as an opportunity to scout around the city. So relax. :) There's no need to freak out. - Seyil
