I'm heading out to Williamson Rock. We want to stay in a motel. Cheap like Motel 6 is fine. I couldn't find anything in wrightwood, ca.

What is the nearest town with a motel??? Thanks.

There are a few motels in Wrightwood, but they cost in the neighborhood of $50 / night, or so I'm told. The closest Motel 6 is in San Bernardino -- "San Bernardino - North" on the Motel 6 website -- about 45 minutes from the crag.

You could also try the other direction and look at Montrose, La Canada, or even Glendale/Pasadena, although that part of town is probably more expensive than the San Bernadino area.

Also, if you are not opposed to camping, there are several well-developed campgrounds within fifteen minutes of Williamson.

*foggy memory* where was that horse (dog?) track? Pasadena area? There was a Motel 6 there.

And San Bernardino is closer.

yeah, but that motel 6 is expensive, and much further from the crag than SBD. The only reason we stayed in that area was that Hwy 2 to SBD was closed.
