ACTUALLY, it's the top four in each age group. My predictions so far? for Male 18-19: Zach Levitt, Nate Bancroft, Patrick Cassidey and then it's anybody's game, could even be me (not likely). For Male 16-17: Dan Mills for sure, Patrick Luthor (US Team last year), and I dunno who else. For Male 14-15: Daniel Woods, Jon Cardwell, and I'm hoping my buddy Andrew Rothner pulls it off too. Um and I have a feeling that Alex Johnson and Megan Martin will probably make it too (duh); I'm also rooting for Laura Griffiths. Care to share YOUR predictions?

Predictions from Texas Female 12 -13 - The twin Murray sisters Female 14-15 - EB Broun, Alex Puccio Female 16-17 - Sarah Broun, Amy Armstrong Female 18-19 - Jessa Goebel, Alice Braginsky, Kelly Burns or Lacy Howard Of course, I'm a little partial to the ladies since they are from the Texas region.

...no predicitions...kids change wildly from year to year physically and mentally. You mention Alex Johnson and Megan Martin, both stellar climbers and super strong. Alex did not win last years final and I'm not sure she is competeing in USAC Climbing this year. I think the Male 16-17 group will be the group to watch. The top five will be the next great group of Mag cover shots and articles in the near future.

I just kinda assumed alex johnson would be competing in USAC this year, perhaps you are right and she is not. I stand firm in my predictions that Levitt, Bancroft, Cassidey, Mills, and Luthor ("up and coming star" according the the Phoenix paper, lol) will all make it... unless they make really stupid mistakes.

Another one to watch out for is Max Zolotukhin. He's from Florida and in the male 18-19 category. He will definitely be a contender.

In reply to: uh oh. i better keep workin on my indoor onsighting. i hate competition. Ike, good to see you at Divs, you climbed well! As much as I like Zach, Nate and Patrick, Zeb Engberg has been bouldering strong all winter and now he has his endurance up too. He's going to be tough to beat, but the M18-19 category is stronger than most people think this year. For M16-17, Vasya Vorotnikov is climbing stronger ever since Zeb convinced him of the benefits of bouldering! ;-) Dan Mills looked strong too at Divs, so it's going to be fun to watch that category. Sorry Texas, but for G14-15, the "unknown" Sierra Crane is going to surprise a lot of folks at Nationals this year. She is so strong and fluid, and she has the endurance too. She's also a very nice person that would never toot her own horn... so I will. :-) M14-15, no comment, but I am biased towards dw. (ps: he flashed the yellow route tonight. ;-) Andrew Rothner looked really strong. I was impressed with his climbing. Not sure about the other categories, but good luck to all and above all, have fun, make new friends and enjoy Sacramento. Steve

From your message I'm guessing your in the 18-19 year old category too. I wanted to go to nationals this year but money is kinda low (I'm in college, haha) but best of luck to ya at nationals and ya the 18-19 year old category should be awesome.
