Any experienced leaders willing to take a newb and his beginner rack up to moore's or pilot this weeked? I was supposed to meet a buddy for some instruction on trad leading, but it fell through. Still like to make the trip though. Pm me if interested.

Sounds like fun..I'm no longer in NC but can make some suggestions for you. If you get to pilot and ready for your first lead, try the dihedral rt. sling the placement under the overhang long before exiting rt to the face..if you go to moore's, try the wailing wall..or washboard. both excellent first leads. if you have an experienced leader..have him take you up zoo view or air show. Good luck with the new rack..take your time...enjoy.

Thanks for the help..we were actually supposed to be climbing air show this weekend. I'm a little unsure on the route you suggested at Pilot though... left of three bears???
