Hey all,
I was wondering if we could get some people together for a B.C. RC.com gathering?Any intrested can either post here or PM me.All are welcome including all of our friends south of the border.There are well over 700 routes here ranging from 5.6 to 13+,making sure you won't run out of stuff to do!!Camping can be had in Penticton at Waterworld(most climbers camp here)and there is also plenty of free camping around.Come get a taste of the Okanagan life!!!

Mike,
The stupid server has been broken all day, or something, I haven't been able to reply!
I love Skaha Bluffs! I'm no B.C. climber, but if I could wrangle up a ride, I'm totally down for another weekend in Skaha! Beside's I still owe you a cold one for the Squamish thing. The third weekend in May is my vote!
Anybody going up there, and you should, let me know!

Sounds good,Iwas thinking of the third weekend...that would be May 18 to 20.I can probably get more time off if anyone is up for longer.Hopefully some of the B.C. boys are in.Any of those south of the border like Jeff...remember it is like a half priced holiday for you,with the way our dollar is here!!! Brogan,Nikegirl,Russman any of you interested???

May get out there that weekend, will let you know, may go to Smith too though, but with the exchange rate Skaha seems better cost wise.

Mike, I'll be there for the May long weekend!
I'm going to make it to the Craigs this weekend. I'm hoping for Saturday and Sunday afternoon. How's the rock? Is it cold? I went to Mt. Bouch last weekend, by the looks of the chalk on the holds, I'm not the first.
Let me know if you're going to around the Craigs this weekend. It would be good to meet.

Is that weekend some kind of Canadican holiday, no not like I'm just blowing off work and going on a holiday. I mean like a real holiday?
Where's everyone going to camp? We can't all fit in the little pull-out by the lake! And what about parking that lot can't hold but 80 cars max, eh?

Jeff,
Yes it is a real holiday for us.Monday the 20th is a stat for us.Victoria day.As for the camping,I am going to see if we can reserve some spots at Waterworld.It will be a busy weekend so I will have to reserve soon.Sooo we need to know how many people that are interested are coming and whether they want me to reserve some sites for them.Off season Waterworld is like 4 bucks Can. a night!Cheap and they have a hottub.The parking lot will hold at least a couple hundred cars.May long weekend is big here so there will be lots of people.The nice thing is Skaha has lots of different crags so you still don't feel like it's crowded.So everyone speak up and I will make some calls for reservations

Thanks for clearing that up!
I'm still working on the ride thing (hint, hint ), so if...
4 Bucks Canadian! what is that now 'bout US$1.17?!? oops... sorry! I forget they use Can$ on your paychecks.
Our US$ doesn't quite go that far, but it does go alot farther! You've got 50% more vacation money when you go to Canada!
I'll say it again! ANY OF YOU AMERICANS WHO MISS THIS SPRING WEEKEND IN THE BEAUTIFUL WILD ROSE COUNTRY, ARE REALLY BLOWING IT!!!

I'm going to phone Waterworld in the next couple of days and try to reserve some space.If they won't let me I will go down a day or two early and lay claim to enough tent sites for us all.Soooo,everyone let me know how many of you will be attending in your party!!

There's 4 of us, but we've made arrangements to stay with a friend of ours up there. I have to work on the Saturday, so we'll be arriving late that night. Just in time to crash and hit the bluffs early. I'm sure you'll spot us there. The tattoos are a sure giveaway.

Good to hear Ron,so for all others how many reservations should I make.It is gonna be busy at this campsite,a lot of climbers stay here and it may fill up in a hurry.I'm going to reserve in the next day or so.If I don't hear otherwise I'll assume those coming have made arrangements.
