While thumbing through the book "Rock Climbing: Mastering Basic Skills" I was puzzled by something. On pages 162-163 it shows someone setting up and lowering off a pitch. The girl threaded her rope through two bolts. My question is wouldn't there be an issue of rope abrrasion from the sharp edges that the bolts create? These bolts arn't cold shuts with a smooth surface.

Could be Metolius Rap Bolts with their big rounded edges. Or it could be poor editing. Either way.

if thyre glueins, it shouldnt be a problem becasue they have rounded edges. but iwouldnt do it on "normal" bolts. i love my rope too much.
