Anyone heard of the 5.10 Prism? It is a new shape of climbing shoes: the rubber sole angular instead of rounded. They say it fits the feet better and gives more friction on edges and corners.

Does this mean that nobody knows anything about this new climbing shoe shape or that nobody has seen this topic yet?

Just bringing this up once more... By the way, does anyone know how a topic like this one (that nobody answered and that has already been disappeared from the most recent messages on the homepage) can be 'brought under attention' back again (without just giving some silly replies as I am doing)?

I've got a pair of the 5.10 black diamond. Possibly the girly version of the same. So far they've been unbeliveably comfortable. But I've read an article on them, saying they get sloppy quick. I have noticed they aren't as precise as my other pair of 5.10's. But for the longer multipitches I'll sacrifice that for a little bit of comfort.

That's just the problem: I don't find anything about it on the internet (I heard it and saw drawings of the new shoes on an evening of my climbing club about new products). I don't think the 5.10-website is up to date either. But as I said, I haven't even found those drawings on the web. Sorry... (But if you didn't understand my explanation about the new shape, you can always ask me)

At the information evening about new products, they said that it was intended for this year, but that it would be for next year (it was already patented). I don't understand why they don't come out with it or make some publicity.

Well, the shoe in itself seems quite normal, but the sole is different: the 'toe-part' has the form of a polygon (a pentagon, I believe). That way you got a bigger part of your shoe on the rock (IF you put your feet right): a side of the pentagon instead of a point in case of a 'normal-shaped' shoe. The 'heel-part' of the sole is normal.
