I'll be in Moab with my family in August. Due to space restrictions during travel I will be very limited on space for gear. I would like to set up some climbs on Wall Street in the Top Rope and School Room areas. What type of gear is required for top rope anchors here and is there 4th class access to the setup or must one lead (sport or trad) to get to the top rope setups in both areas? If so what are the lead ratings to get access to the top. Thanks

I'm pretty sure someone is going to have to lead the route you intend to top rope. From what I remember most of the climbs, if not all have anchors you can top rope from.

Top roping at wall street is sparce and useless. The cliff face is 500 ft. tall. Bring your lead rack.

The first School Room has 4th class access, and so does the second. The best routes, however, must be led.

OK I'm a noobie to this site, but why is everyone jumping all over me for responding to a listed thread? Just take 'em off when they get too old if it's such a crime! By the way, I responded to timeless questions- not "going climbing this weekend, need a partner."

Just try and keep things somewhat current. Old posts are saved for many reasons but most notably for information so we don't have to keep rehashing what to bring to Josh or where you can stay at the RR Gorge, etc Smoke some 420, Rasta Man and start a new post!!! IRIE

OK, I took a 420 "safety" break and started a very thoughtful new topic on the trip report board. I feel much better now!
