Hiking is a big thing among climbers so I was wondering how much of it have any of you done? Tell me what sections or if u were a thru-hiker did u go north/south bound.
Also what animals did u see.

I just go around the Hawk Mtn and Pinnacle area near Hamburg, PA. I hiked around every weekend when I was a teenager, oh so many years ago. I always wanted to do the whole length of it from Maine to Georgia, but that takes a few months.

I have hiked parts of it in Maine and New Hampshire. Although I do not forsee taking 6 months to through hike it, I would like to become an end to ender. All the through hikers that I have met went from south to north. Mt. Katahdin is awesome. There are also some rock climbing routes there that I plan on doing.

I hiked a few miles of it when I visited the Smokey Mountains. Very pretty in the fall.
I did'nt have much time. But wanted to hike on it a little just see what it was like and to say that I have hiked on it.

Hiking...oooh the hiking...how I wish the snow would melt above 3000 ft.
Lots of it all the time. Anywhere from the North shore mountains of Vancouver to Pemberton, and everything in between.
I got pictures...wanna see? Check my profile for the link.

COAST MOUNTAINS KICK ASS!!!

...oh yeah...animals, more bears than anything oddly enough, couple of marmots, mountain goats, weasels, bunnies, deer...oh and that sasquatch that one time.....coulda been another bear though...
