I'll be staying at Colorado Springs from Sept 2 thru 7, flying in to/from Denver. Can anyone recommend bouldering places? Since I'll be going with a couple of non-climber friends, I thought I just bring a crash pad. However, if anyone would like to partner up for climbing or bouldering, please pm me by sept. 1. I boulder, trad, sport climb. Lead moderate ratings, depends on what type of problems. Boulder about V1-V2 occasionally V3 if the rating is soft , trad lead 5.8/9 and sport lead 10's to low 11. angelina

Lots of great Trad around CO Sprngs, as for bouldering not to sure. I would try Eleven Mile Canyon, some of my first climbing experiences were there. I remember lg boulders in & around the river throughout the canyon. Good stuff. Also try Turret Dome picnic area. Garden of the Gods is worth a shot as well. I remeber they are strict there though. Also Woodland Park. Good luck!

Garden of the Gods has some good bouldering and the Ute Pass Boulders are worth a trip, as well. There is also some decent bouldering at the base of Sheep's Nose (in the South Platte)--not sure how/if the Hayman fire affected those.

visible chalk and other visual impact, certain color slings & painted bolts? but since you just want to boulder, shouldn't be a problem.
