hey everyone, im planning a trip to alabama this christmas(dec.26-Jan. 3), and was wondering what the temperature is like in northern alabama during that time if i need a warmer sleeping bag etc... also ive never been there so what are some of the better climbing destinations (trad, sport and bouldering)? Thank you very much for any info you can give me

It'll be cold and HP40 has awesome bouldering and Sandrock has great sport and decent bouldering too. Check the route DB on this site for more info.

Temps in December can be as cold as the 20'-30's, or it can be in the 70's. I would bring a good cold weather bag, but also bring some stuff to climb in if it gets warm.

Sandrock has great sport climbing, and some trad.

HP40 Is the place to go for bouldering.

Watch out for the locals at Sandrock and try to camp as far away from the parking area as possible.
