I just ordered myself a Canon Powershot S1 IS, wondering if anyone else out there had the same and maybe a suggestion for a case that can withstand climbing trips etc. Not that I'll be throwing it around by any means, but something durable that would protect the camera would be great.

Lowepro makes camera cases for all sizes of digital cameras that will also hold an extra battery and CF card. Check Best Buy.

I would say your best bet is Lowe Pro...REI has them, as well as any self respecting camera store. They are soft cases yet still protect the camera quite well. If you camera is going to take lead falls into streams, Pelican cases work better!

Hey,
I have a canon A80 that I bought w/o the case. Like with most things, canon asks too much money. I did however find a case that was more durable and less expensive. It is, as the others have said, made by Lowe. I have the Lowe 10-AW. I believe it is part of the DS or SD(I forget which) line. Check out the comparison chart that any Lowe retailer would have.( which cameras are compatible with which Lowe cases. I chose to grab one just slightly larger than recomended. ( That allows me to more EASILY store the extra batteries and Flash Card.

Good luck and Happy Shopping,
