Is there enough bouldering at woodson that I can just take a pad and cruise circuits? Id rather not haul TR gear and a rope up the hill. Obviously alot of the problems are way OTD, but is there enough moderately sized stuff to keep me busy?

There's plenty of bouldering and plenty of TR'ing. 80' of rope, 2 harnesses, a couple slings and biners weigh a lot less, however, than 2 pads, and are a lot easier to carry.
It depends on what you which problems you want to do, but there are more and better lines to be done with a toprope than with pads.
Either way, it takes a while to find your way around.

Just left Woodson this morning. It was a Clean-A-Crag Event for The Access Fund. Wish you had been there to pitch in.
Dave Kennedy, author of "San Diego Climbing Guide" spent the morning with us and if you pick up Dave's book you will find lots of bouldering on Woodson. One of Dave's favorites is a bouldering problem with a North facing overhang with lots of shade.
Dave and the San Diego Alliance of Climbers are hosting another Clean A Crag event on the 18th and will be opening the access trail to an older area that has seen little use. Check the following web sites out:

A little more than half way up the mountain right before arriving to the "big grunt, hairdo and cool jerk rock" there are a few really good boulders. Hamburger crack for a warm up then the three "blaster" boulders next the Hamburger crack offer some great moderate to hard problems.

There is plenty of quality bouldering. The problem is finding your way if you're unfamiliar with the area.
