I just had the worst climbing experience of my life at Rockreation in Salt Lake City. The staff was hostile, rude, and unprofessional. The whole vibe in that place is wrong. I'll spare the details, but I've climbed at a lot of places and Rockreation is definitely a place I will never go to again. If you are in the SLC area you owe it to yourself to go to The Front. It's all bouldering and super nice. They have the PCA comps there. Check it out.

i've never been to Rockreation but go to The Quarry in Provo evey now and then and will be there a lot more when winter hits. I had heard good things about Rockreation but maybe not. I going to gyms and seeing a rude staff, super lame.

I have a membership at rockreation in SLC, and I'm there usually 2 times a week during the summer, and 6 during the winter. While I can say that some of the staff aren't the friendliest, the people that climb there are great. I have yet to meet a single person that climbs there that I dislike. As for the Front, I have yet to get a chance to climb there, but from what I've heard from people that do climb there, there a quite a few snobby pretentious jerks that climb there. However, again, I've never actually climbed there, so I don't really know. Steve Edited to add that I think you ought to provide details too. :D

So let me get this strait, you have never been there and you are calling "people" who climb there snobby pretentious jerks, the irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

He said that's from what he has heard about the place....look somewhere else for irony.
