Up until I have been pretty lucky landing on my feet with the occasional commando roll. Today however I took two falls that felt like NHL blows.

Anyone taken any good falls?

My bud was walking on our line which is about waist height. When he was in the middle of the line he sliped off. His right foot went onthe right and his left foot went left and the line came up and hit him in the nuts. It had so much whip behind it. Poor guy. He didnt move for like 20 min.

I got a hairline fracture in my foot. My advice... watch for holes where you set up your line... don't slack on school fieldtrips because your professors will think you are a dumbass.

Ouucchhh!! Yep, I've yelled that many times when I first started learning. I lost count of how many times I've got whacked between the legs.

I've seen more injuries in slacklining than any other activity. My advice is to take it slow, learn to walk before you start doing tricks and listen to your body (stop walking when your muscles are too tired).

Also, staying focused in the first place avoids you becoming vulnerable to injury.

Easy to say.... but sometime hard to perform.

Walk steady, Ammon

While trying to learn the sit start on a 50' line I had up, I was about half way to standing up, when suddenly the line went out to one side, then shot me like a lawn dart into the grass. I ended up with grass stains on my shoulder. I am still a bit leery of doing the sit start.

i've seen my friend go SPREAD EAGLE onto a line (it was a good 8-10 feet up), he got the nice "tension whip" from the line springing up without his weight on it, i almost cried it was so funny

What are your thoughts on setting up a slackline system at about 20' high and anchoring myself to the line with a runner? In my un-educated brilliance it seems as though this would not hurt when you fell, and also step up the adreneline from walking the line at 20'... am I being foolish in thinking this?

Since I'm starting, I've had my fair share of falls, luckily i'm doing it on grass or beach sand.

The other day, I fell sideways and did a face plant into sand. Good Times.
