You can use the Links section of the site to find great info on other sites. As for technique there are so many ways to improve but the best are probably just climbing alot or taking some private lessons it also helps to climb with people who are better than you so you can see how they do a certain move and how they use their feet. As for equipment I would reccomend "Mountaineering Freedom Of The Hills" its a great book that covers all the basics and also has some good explanations of technique.

Over several weeks of changes, I have come up with, what I think, is a really good climbing work out. It take around 2 hours, but it'll pay off. Oh yeah, remember to dring PLENTY of water. Hope it helps! *Warm up 3 easy problems and rest b/t each problem, then stretch. *First Set 8-10 move problem slightly above your limit do 6-9 burns then rest every 2 burns rest 5 minutes when done *Second Set Work 3 problems 3 different times Problems should be 2 V-grades higher. Rest b/t tries and problems then rest 10 minutes *Third set 1 try on 3 easier problems, the problems should still be hard rest 3 minutes b/t problems [ This Message was edited by: climberchk on 2001-08-22 23:03 ] [ This Message was edited by: climberchk on 2001-08-22 23:05 ]

to gather good techniques, i usually watch great climbers and try to duplicate the moves that they make, from there you can formulate your own techniques and always stay focus

If your redpointing 5.11 after only a few months you don't need any tips. Keep it up.
