My wife and I are currently in NH, having road tripped from CO. We are hoping to spend 2-3 weeks climbing at Rumney but have discovered that the camping here is expensive. Most any campground charges $24/day. The commonly used option across from the Meadows parking lot is a no-go because the landowner does not allow pets (we have 2 dogs). Anyone in the area willing to give us a parking spot for our truck/camper? Please call us on our cell at (edit-phone number removed). Thanks a lot.

Fred, the wall mart parking lot up the street is free, good bathrooms and quiet after 11.00pm It's not real level so you need a few planks to level out.

We camped at the Wal-Mart a couple nights. Sometimes quiet but often a trucker wouold be there overnight running his engine 20 feet from us. NOt ideal but doable for a night or 2 if you're new to the area nad trying to get your bearings.

There is one campground in Rumney that are around $10 per night with showers. Of course, I can't remember the name right now! but if you are still in NH and looking I would suggest going to the MA climbers thread in the East Coast forum to ask them.

I'd personally like to see more of this in the RDB for every area. Lots of work, but very helpful information.
