Has anyone in VA been to Buzzard Rocks lately? I am trying to get some info on the routes and can't seem to get in touch with the guy who posted them in the routes section? Let me know!

Thanks ahead of time

Daniela

No that was actually me... and Craig.

Nice weather huh? Did you guys check out any of the climbs further down the cliff line? We ended up climbing Prajapati (5.9) all the way at the end. Very nice climb, but its better to hike along the ridge to the end and then take the trail down.

Cool! No we left after finishing Melungian Brotherhood, to slick! Anyways we saw the storm clouds coming in and wanted to get out of there before it rained to hard. How were those climbs? Long? What type of pro did you use?

The ones we did were all sport... 5-7 bolts each. Nice leads. They were slightly shorter than the others, but still in the 70-80 ft range.

I think we are going to try out Elizabeth Furnace this weekend. It is on Fort Valley Road past the fish hatchery road. It has some nice overhangs.

Hey brake,

How big is the Rattlesnake Ridge Area? More than the four climbs you posted?

Can anybody tell me what the seasons are for the Elizabeth Furnace crags? I'll be up from North Carolina visiting in-laws near Front Royal over t-day and xmas and wouldn't mind checking out these nearby areas.
Climbable in winter? Sunny and south-facing, frigid and North-facing, or somewhere in between?
Thanks
