hi,

I'm trying to find an alternative parking spot b/c a group campsite at red rocks will not have enough space for my car. I don't mind paying for a safer parking area (I don't want to lose my car or things inside). I'll check the airport but think it will be logjammed so if anyone can suggest another place to check, I'd be obliged.

thanks.

I am unsure what exactly it is that you need.

Do you have more than one car and need to ditch one?

Is there a large group you are with?

How many cars do you need to park, for how long, is location important?

There's a parking lot for the walk in camping spots at the camp ground. I've also shared a regular camping sport at the main camp ground where we've had three cars and one of us gets a slip from the campground host and parks in lot.

yes, I'm trying to stay at a group campsite over thanksgiving. I know there isn't enough parking through the group spaces for my car.

I just need to be able to park my car for 3-4 days/nites. but I need a safe place for it (where I can walk to it to check it's still around; or out of the area where it will be in a supervised area I'm ok paying for). I'll try around the camp area but have not been there during crowded times.

i wonder how you can know that the parking lot wont have room for your car?

at any rate, las vegas, unlike other big cities, really doesnt have places you can pay and park. hotels are mostly free (and unprotected from random folks).

you might try the exit of the loop road or the first creek parking lot or the old oak creek parking lot along 159. those are probably your closest places to park.

The camp host is pretty friendly, you might be able to get away with extra cars at your group site or you might be able to park in the parking lot in front of the non-group sites if you ask.

The Borders book store parking lot on the way into RR is pretty friendly. My buddy slept in his car there for 2 weeks. Of course he was in the car at night. I can't say it won't get towed.
