I was just wondering how you would grade a wall without any assistance of a guide book or any kind of assistance. That is, if it is even possible. I climb a lot of un-rated - un-named routes where I live, and was just thinking about how I could give them a solid grade. Thanks a lot guys!

I think if you have climbed a certian grade enough you can just feel it . I have also found that If a climb is 80 feet rather than 35 feet is will get a higher grade. But it is something you can just feel> It is kind of like you just know how fast you can take your car around a corner.
