Would anyone be interested in having a little get together at the Fraggle Rock area or somewhere in NW Arkansas? Just an informal get together in mid-june to have a good time and meet some new people.

Where or what the heck is Fraggle Rock?? I thought I had climbed at the most popular places in AR? Sams (including surrounding areas), lake lincoln, mt mag., fern, spy rock. Is it just a place to boulder or what?

Fraggle Rock is on Rickett's mountain. It is in the Sam's guidebook. There is some trad routes in the area and several sport routes have been put in over the past couple of years. Very fun place to climb.

Sure, set a date or it wont happen. I would be happy to go and hope I can. If the doc says I can climb. I sure hope by then I can.

The trad climbs range anywhere from 5.5 to 5.12. There's not a lot, but there's definitely room for some first ascents. It's about a 35 to 45 minute drive back to the throne area.

True, there isn't much at cave creek. So if you can make a date to tell people ahead of time, I think we could have quite a few people.

Oh YEAH, i'm soo THERE! finally a get together that's feasable for me. The date is an issue though, if you could do it mid-JULY perhaps . If my schedule allows, I'm there.

If late June doesn't work out - I'm in for early September. It's cooler and lots fewer bugs too! Another idea might be a summer get together followed by one in the fall. Looking forward to it.

How about July 26th-28th. That's a Friday through Sunday. The day after that I'm headed for Alaska. And a few days before, I'm going to be getting back from boot camp in Floridia. This would be a great way to wind down.
Oh, and could I suggest Mt. Magazine! Check out the photo of Adam on "Right to Flight" I want it bad.

I think that we'll stick with the last weekend in June. I'd love to do one in the fall, but I'll be living in Yosemite at that time and would not be able to make it. So spread the word to all your partners!

Im working it out with my Dad, for the 28-30th. But I would mostly be at Cave Creek. But I guess I could camp and Farggle Rock. How far is it from Cave Creek? Thanks, Wes P.S. I would also like to go in the fall too when its colder.

It's about a 25 to 30 minute drive. If you are looking for sport routes, there are several that have gone up in the fraggle rock area recently.

I have planed to go June 28-30 to Cave Creek in the Sam's Throne area. Just letting you know what im doing. Not that it matters. But Im planing on that.
