thanks for the comments on the first shot. i love it and just couldn't step back enough to see the flaws, but an honest appraisal helped a lot.

anyway, here is the next one. cool clouds and penitentes.

well, i hesitate to give any real advice here because my skillz do not even come close to qualifying me to do so.

that said, i love the photo, but perhaps a bit more contrast between the sky and snow would make it crisper. i don't know how to accomplish this though. maybe a slightly longer exposure?

i really think it's excellent shot.

Did you use a polarizer (man I'm starting to sound like a broken record!) that woudl push the contrast up for you.

Additionally you could bracket the exposure, over exposing this one half a stop (from what you shot) would have brightened up the snow.
