I know this is a climbing site, but I can't think of a better group to ask this question...

A couple years back I read a description of a 3 peak circuit that's doable on a mountain bike. This was in one of Dawson's guides, but unfortunately I can't recall which guide, nor can I recall the names of the peaks.

The route consisted of a some mileage up a jeep road, then peaks were connected via the saddles.

Sorry, I know that's pretty vague. Any info on this ride or any other similar ride would be very appreciated. I am aware of the paved road up Mount Evans, so no need to suggest that one.

Please, no lectures on the fragile alpine environment. My intentions are not to grab a handfull of rear brake in an effort to uproot all existing plant life.

Thanks in advance.

Edited to add: I am in Pittsburgh, if anyone is ever in this area and wants to sample some of the local single track let me know. We have lots of trails that are truely classic east coast riding.

I would say bross, lincon and democrat but good luck getting up the first one on your bike. once on the ridge it wouldn't be too bad to get to the others. I've seen people biking down the barr trail on pikes (nuts on the upper half).

www.nsmb.com

The home of freeriding...although it surely wont have much stuff specific to America, if you ask on the Bulletin Board you may have a chance of some one knowing, or knowing another link.

For "similiar" rides, how bout http://www.ridebig.com/ *drool*

Handies, Redcloud and Sunshine are good...one can also do Shavano on bike and connect to Tabeguache.
