I am considering taking a climbing trip in December and was wondering if it would be warm enough to climb in Alabama, and where good sport climbing locations that have plenty of 5.10s would be.

if it would be warm enough to climb in Alabama 'tis the season! Good climbing STARTS here in late Sept., runs through late March. Between Birmingham and Chattanooga is Sandrock, which has a lot of stuff in the 5.10-5.12 range. If you want an even bigger selection of hard 5.10 and up, try Little River Canyon in the far northeastern corner. Check the routes database and the Dixie Cragger's Atlas for more info. (FWIW, the Canyon has over 400 routes, but many are undocumented.) Apart from those two places, sport climbing here is less concentrated.

I wasn't sure about the weather down there, I'm up here in the land of ice and snow. It's great if the weather is going to be good. Thanks for the info,
